Healing of Ginette Nouvel (Fabre)

Ginette Nouvel had Budd-Chiari syndrome—blood clots blocking veins draining the liver. She was cured at Lourdes on 21 September 1954. The Bishop of Albi declared the cure miraculous in 1963. Spontaneous resolution of Budd-Chiari is not a known medical outcome.

The Lourdes Medical Bureau gathered documentation; the International Medical Committee (C.M.I.L.) affirmed the cure was inexplicable in the current state of medical knowledge. The Bishop of Albi recognized it on 31 May 1963. Budd-Chiari syndrome causes liver failure. Spontaneous resolution is not documented in medical literature.
