What Was Truly Miraculous
Brother Léo Schwager had multiple sclerosis for five years. He was cured at Lourdes on 30 April 1952. The Bishop of Fribourg (Switzerland) declared the cure miraculous in 1960. MS does not reverse; complete remission is not a recognised medical outcome.
Why It Can't Be Dismissed
The Lourdes Medical Bureau gathered documentation; the International Medical Committee (C.M.I.L.) affirmed the cure was inexplicable in the current state of medical knowledge. The Bishop of Fribourg recognized it on 18 December 1960. MS has no cure; complete remission is not a recognised outcome. The disease does not reverse.
