Maureen Digan — St. Faustina (Beatification)
Kraków, Poland · 20th Century

What Was Truly Miraculous
Maureen Digan had Milroy's disease (lymphedema) since age 15—50 operations, both legs amputated. Four doctors told her the disease was incurable. At Faustina's tomb in Kraków she said, 'Okay, Faustina, I came a long way, now do something.' The pain and swelling disappeared instantly; her severely swollen leg returned to normal. She stopped taking medicine and remained healed.
Why It Can't Be Dismissed
Five independent doctors in Massachusetts confirmed she was completely healed with no medical explanation. Lymphedema is incurable and does not respond to medication—fifty operations and eventual amputation reflect the intractability. Instantaneous cure after decades of suffering is medically unprecedented. She stopped taking medicine and remained healed.
