What Was Truly Miraculous

Nohad El Shami, 55, mother of 12, suffered hemiplegia from 80% blockage of left brain arteries and 70% of right. Doctors said there was no cure. Her son brought oil and soil from Charbel's tomb. On January 22, she dreamt two Maronite monks—Charbel and St. Maroun—performed surgery on her neck. She woke with two long surgical scars with visible stitches on each side of her neck and could move and walk normally.

Why It Can't Be Dismissed

Neurological records documented her paralysis. Medical examinations and photographs document the unexplained surgical scars that appeared overnight—with no prior surgery. Physical evidence: scars with visible stitches. Charbel said in a later dream: 'I did the surgery to let people see and return to their faith.' Official canonization miracle.
